Desperados 16U qualifies for PGF National Championships!

 
Nationals two years in a row!  Way to scratch and claw and show heart!  All around great effort - thanks to the players, coaches and parents.  All that hard work and dedication is paying off - on to bigger and better things!  Congratulations girls!


 
Stacey Nelson and the 16's at the Memorial Day Classic
 

Stacey Nelson, one of the greatest collegiate pitchers of all time, Team USA member and former Desperado spent some time with our 16U team in the dugout and after a game this past weekend - inspiring our girls to a second place finish.  She will be helping out our pitchers during the summer.


Desperados 14U takes 1st in Las Vegas
Desperados 14U won the Pair-A-Dice tournament on April 16-17 in Las Vegas.  Great job girls!

 
 Paisley Top 25 Finalist for ASA Award

East Carolina senior All-American Toni Paisley has been named one of the Top 25 Finalists for the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America's 2011 National Collegiate Player of the Year Award, according to an announcement Wednesday by the organization.  The honor, which is considered the most prestigious in Division I women's collegiate softbal, is designed to recognize outstanding athletic achievement by female collegiate players across the country.
Paisley is the lone representative from Conference USA and is one of just two players outside a "power six conference" school to make the final 25 list.
 

 
       Paisley A Candidate For Lowe's Senior Class Award 

Senior One Of 30 Division I Softball Student-Athletes Selected
 

East Carolina senior All-America Toni Paisley is one of 30 NCAA softball student-athlete candidates for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award the organization announced Wednesday. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be classified as a NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
 
 
 
 


Pedroza shines in TKO
 
Christina Pedroza did her job on the mound and at the plate as the University of Hawaii at Hilo TKOd St. Martin’s University, 8-0, in their final game of the Desert Stinger in Las Vegas, Nev.

On the mound, the senior gave up just two hits over five innings. She walked three and struckout seven.

At the plate, she was 2 for 4 with four RBI including a 3-RBI homerun in the fourth.
